"Application cannot be started" error when attempting to open Design

Troubleshooting - Applies to Infiniti v8.0 or later

When you try to open Design from Manage you are prompted with an error dialogue saying "Application cannot be started. Contact your Vendor".

This issue can occur if the Design update did not fully complete. For example your computer unexpectedly shuts down in the middle of a Design update.


The problem is with the ClickOnce install and the ClickOnce cache needs to be cleared to fix it. This can be done by running the following in your command prompt:

rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache
